My mom has been smoking for thirty-seven years, and she is finally ready to quit. I was wondering if you have any tips for long-time smokers that seriously want to quit — without the use of medication.. (patches okay)

I have been chewing lots of gum, it helped me. I am 71/2 weeks with no cigs. (smoked from age 13 to 36)

my dad smoked for over 30yrs and used the patch and hasn’t smoked for around 5 yrs. To be able to beat the addiction she is going to have to really want to stop. If she doesn’t want to use the patch try chewing gum or something to replace the old habit of smoking sometimes that helps
