The rash on my hands is so bad that they did a biopsy. I don’t have the results yet. I am constantly itching. I’ve taken steroid pills, a shot and creams nothing is working. I have a prescription for Atarax which I haven’t gotten filled yet. I hate taking medication. The only thing that I can think of that I’ve done different is quit smoking. I was on the patch but quit using it, it didn’t help. I am using the gum. Has anyone suffered from this misery after they quit smoking. I’ve smoked for 30 years and am determined to quit but I can’t take much more of this ITCHING!!! Has anyone had a similar experience?

Does anyone out here have experience quitting qith this method. i have heard of 3-4 people who have quit seccesfully. It is said that after the first week I will lose my desire and if I DO smoke after the quit day it will make me really sick. I want to know if anyone has any additional input to help me along. Has anyone tried quitting this way? I’m still smoking but a little loess than usual already. They give you these forms you print out from their website that make you write down where you were when you smoked and what time. I am drinking lots of water as they instructed plus walking briskly for at least 10 minute 3 times a day…..

Ive tried the lozenges, but that lasted about 6 hours before it was just like “nuh”.

Ive been smoking for 3 years, and just thinking about quitting smoking, makes me want a smoke.

The main reason I want to quit, is that I want to be an actor more then anything else in this world, and Ive been on multiple movie sets and the stress of wanting to have a smoke is so annoying. And I just think it would be so much more easier if I wasn’t smoking.

Im only 16, and the way I see it is, If I quit now before Im legally able to buy smokes, then I know that If I have an intense withdrawal, I cant go down the store and buy a pack.

Plus I like the idea of having money

I don’t want to try the patches, or gum or any medication.

I was an idiot when I was 13 and should have listened to my mother instead of snickering when she said that one day I would have wished that I listened to her.

The only reason she started allowing me to smoke, is because she didn’t want me to go up to strangers to ask them to buy me a pack.

What have you done to help you quit smoking?

If you don’t smoke, don’t answer, because you don’t know what its like.
